To simplify our commissioning process, we developed software to analyse logs from BFI & Zeeco flame scanners.

In addition, we created a “Virtual Scanner” that is accessed whilst viewing a log file.

The issues
The logs are saved in a type of csv file. To make sense of them, they need to be individually imported into a spreadsheet.Then the frequency, amplitude, and time columns need to be represented as a chart. With multiple scanners/burners, this is very difficult and slow to compare.

1) We can now evaluate the logs, test with our “Simulator”, write down optimum values, and upload to scanners during a Purge Cycle.

2) The software tells you which threshold triggered the relay state change. You can zoom in on a section of the signal, and change thresholds & timing of flame on/off, to exactly see what is needed.

3) Full colour analysis available to you and your client instantly to discuss.

4) Small changes can be tested for each scanner on site, within the simulator, to test what adjustments can maintain reliability.
